Tell Me More about Insulation

At GE-HI, our first preference is to air seal the areas you wish to insulate.  This slows the air leaks caused by pressures scientists call the stack effect.  Our second step is to install attic radiant barriers and update attic ventilation systems where possible. Lastly we blow in fiberized cellulose insulation using the newest high pressure tube insertion equipment.

Our Hi-R  Fiberized Insulation has the benefit of being hygroscopic, meaning it will wick moisture from the adjacent building materials promoting the overall drying of the wall assembly.  “Hi-R” is stabilized with Acidum Boricum whose antiseptic capability actually kills mold and insects.
